Due to different reasons, we may encounter Domain probe error due to domain — hosting connection problems or browser problems.

It should be noted that it should be noted that if you are getting the DNS_probe_finished_nxdomain error on a site you have completed the installation of, and your website has been working for a few hours — up to a day, and then you suddenly encountered the DNS_probe_finished_nxdomain error, it may be more positive to check your CDN and hosting — domain settings in the first place.

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN Error reasons in general;

In general, this error you encounter when you want to view your website is generally reflected as a DNS problem.

# Incorrect domain DNS redirection

# Incorrect cloudflare installation

# Incorrect DNS Server setups

# Misconfiguration of the Antivirus program installed on your computer

# Incorrect VPN configuration

# Hosting virus

# Incorrect configuration of the hosting zone or some problems in the hosting update.

# Your browser is not up-to-date or the wrong installation of VPN-like add-ons in the browser

We have listed the most common solutions for DNS error, now let’s look at our solution suggestions;

Check if your browser is up to date and if you are using VPN please turn it off. If you are using an antivirus, check your internet protocol configuration by logging into the antivirus panel you are using. If you are using DNS please revert to your normal configuration.

First, make sure that the domain DNS addresses are working correctly by logging into your Domain administrator and check again. If you are using Cloudflare, please cancel cloudflare installation and check again.

Check your hosting setup by logging into your hosting management panel. Please review the zone records to check our hosting setup. Usually, such errors are encountered in the installation of mail and cloudflare.

If there is no problem in your domain and hosting records and you do not have any problems with your browser, DNS configuration and antivirus, I will list the simplest ways for you to do. Some users can log in to websites using VPN with DNS_probe_finished_nxdomain error. If you cannot log in normally and can access the admin panel using VPN, please take a backup of your website.

What can be done?

# Contact your hosting administrator and ask them to check the zone records. Inform your hosting company about the problem you are experiencing and tell them to check the zone records. If you have configured mail, please specify this situation.

# Take a system backup via cpanel and reset your cpanel setup and set up a backup.

If you do not want to reset via Cpanel, you need to bring all the configurations I mentioned above to the normal level. For example, you need to turn off VPN, turn off antivirus and contact your hosting provider. At this point, unfortunately, you have to try the solution one by one.

Some users are trying to access different information by querying the whois records of their sites, but you can already do this by accessing your domain panel. In addition, checking whois records may provide you with more permanent information.

# Checking your DNS addresses again — Check if your DNS addresses are spread all over the world. You can do this control over DNSCHECKER. You can make NS — DNS Query via DOMAİNCHECKER.

What can be done for different solutions?

You can renew your IP addresses and clean the cache via CMD. In addition to all these, you can delete your browser history and even reset the modem — network device you are using.

You can reset the browser settings you use to factory settings, or if you want, you can enable DNS over HTTPS or choose secure connection settings over the browser settings. In some browsers, these configurations may change due to various plug-ins.

In short unfortunately you have to check all DNS configurations. First, you can make the necessary checks through your browser. Be sure to try different websites. Make sure to clear your cache by checking your browser settings. Then you can configure your antivirus, DNS configurations on your computer, and IP renewal — reset via CMD — Terminal.

If you are experiencing the problem only on a website you have set up, you can cancel the cloudflare installation and review your hosting records. If there is no misdirection in your domain panel, it would be better for you to focus on zone records through hosting or contact your hosting company.

In the article I prepared, I tried to talk about the DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error in general. I have listed many possibilities that come to my mind for you. As CND, I sampled over cloudflare. I usually went over the Cloudflare example due to its heavy usage. There will definitely be different solutions and more detailed explanations in DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error. For more practical solutions, google would be a great solution. I plan to update the articles over time. I will try to explain in a simple way by collecting more practical and simpler information.
